world-class US Team sprinter and Jibskate idol

from Shaftsbury, Vermont USA born 30th November 1983

The big hope of the US Sprint Team and skating kids' idol. Known for his spectacular jumps and big airs on cross country skis. His love of the extreme has earned him the nickname "Nordic Revolutionary" in the US press.

Andy describes his approach to sport and life as follows: "... we're not just these endurance 'Nordic dorks' who sit around worrying about their heart rates. [..] I think you've got to have fun and you've got to enjoy what you're doing." Which is why he likes to put in a quick 360 when warming up for an event. His goal: "We're trying to attract more kids to the sport and bring American cross country skiing up to a world-class level."
